Dates:   May - August 2016 (flexible start and end dates)

Supervisor: Lindsay Rohrbaugh (ENSP-Wildlife Ecology & Management, 2004).

Duties:  The intern’s responsibilities will include largely bat acoustical monitoring and mist netting with other duties to include aquatic turtle trapping, artificial cover surveys, nighttime frog call surveys, small mammal trapping, and data entry.  Applicant may be needed to assist in radio-telemetry surveys or other field work projects within the division.

Requirements:  From May through August 2016 work will equal 20 to 30 hours per week. Approximately 1/3 of our work will be conducting frog call surveys and bat surveys at night so evening availability will be important.  Applicants should be enrolled in or a recent graduate of a college or university program in wildlife biology, conservation biology, ecology, zoology, or a closely related field. Prefer a student who has an interest in bats and willing to work more closely with bat acoustical data processing. This is an unpaid internship.
