Bladensburg (MD) Waterfront Park
Bladensburg Waterfront Park is seeking current
students or recent graduates with good customer service skills who are
interested in outdoor and environmental education in a park setting. The job
includes conducting environmental and nature-based programs both indoors and
outdoors, river and trail tours, park and trail maintenance, boat and bicycles
rentals, and event staffing, among other flexible duties. Applicant should be
willing to learn how to operate boats (onsite training provided).
The park is only a 10-15 drive from campus, and accessible to bicycle commuting as well. The job is perfect for those looking for a part-time job who enjoy working outdoors, teaching students and adults of various ages, and with a working knowledge of local plants, animals, and river ecology.

Nature Program Assistant (Program/Facility Mgr. Aide I/II)
$9.60/hr-$14.02/hr -- Conduct tours, educational and scout programs; staff special events,
museum/nature programs, activities, and off-site programming; give tours and
talks; work with the public, staff, and volunteers; staff the front desk and
gift shop; meet and greet the public; assist with set-up/tear down of events
and programs; cash handling; computerized admissions and programs.
Nature Facility Customer Service Representative (Program/Facility Aide I/II/III) $9.55/hr-$12.11/hr -- Meet and greet visitors; staff front desk and gift shop and handle revenue; operate computerized programs for admission, programs, rentals, gift shop sales; give tours and assist with programs.
