Gilman Scholarship for Study Abroad - Up to $5,000 Are you a US CITIZEN receiving a PELL GRANT (a federal need-based educational grant)? Are you thinking about STUDY ABROAD in Winter 2019, Spring 2019, or Summer 2019?  Learn about the GILMAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP, which provides up to $5,000 for study abroad students with financial need who receive Pell Grants. Summer 2018 UMD BATS Internship UMD BATS Team is looking to hire one summer intern to perform several literature reviews and run bat echolocation calls through an echolocation software program using a novel approach. Some work can be done remotely while some work will be done in the lab during normal working hours. The intern will be fully trained and be responsible for getting to/from campus. Internship - Fall 2018 Department of Justice - Environment and Natural Resources Division This office requires a 30-hour week commitment but it can be for half of the semester (6-8 weeks). Deadline is July 1 (but sooner the better!) The Environmental Enforcement Section is one of the largest litigating Sections in the Department and includes nearly one-half of the Division's lawyers. The Section is responsible for bringing civil judicial actions under most federal laws enacted to protect public health and the environment from the adverse effects of pollution, such as the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, Oil Pollution Act, RCRA and the Superfund law (CERCLA). The breadth of the Section's practice is extensive and challenging. It includes cases of national scope, such as cases against multiple members of an identified industry, to obtain broad compliance with the environmental laws.
