PAID - National Environmental Education Foundation

The National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF) is seeking an intern to develop content for NEEFusa.org that will be distributed to NEEF’s national network of television weathercasters and media, educators, and other audiences.

Responsibilities:    The intern will research and write content with a special focus on water issues, including stormwater runoff and water quality, low impact development and green infrastructure, and climate change impacts on US water resources. The intern will assist in conceptualizing graphics and videos related to new content. The intern will also assist with website updates and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:    Applicants should have a background in environmental science, atmospheric science, natural resources or a related field. Applicants should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex science concepts into understandable terms that can be relayed to the public. Applicants should have strong research skills, and be able to work independently and in collaboration with our small team.

Start date:   Flexible. The intern will be expected to work 20 hours per week; hours are flexible within organization operating hours (9:00a – 5:00p). The internship term will be three months with the possibility for extension.

Salary:   This is a paid internship. Interns will earn a reasonable hourly rate.
