The AGNR 2017 AgI2C Undergraduate Ideation Competition

For students enrolled in an AGNR concentration

Have a bright and innovative idea for a new agriculture and natural resource business? Register a team on or before March 10, 2017 for AGNR’s 2017 AgI2C Undergraduate Ideation Competition at the website agnr.umd.edu/AgI2C, Agriculture Innovation to Commercialization. Also see the attached poster. There’s information on the website about the competition and its awards, eligibility, and schedule. There are contacts who can help you in each Department and the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

The AGNR 2017 AgI2C Undergraduate Ideation Competition concludes on April 19 with oral and visual presentations to a panel of judges. The invited judges are with AGNR, the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship in the Smith School of Business, the Academy for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and businesses. 

Awards
Undergraduate teams will compete for the following awards:
  • 1st Place: $500
  • 2nd Place: $350
  • 3rd Place: $250
  • Best Visual Aid: $200
  • Best Oral Presentation: $200
 
Eligibility
The AgI2C Competition is open to teams of students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree or lower-division certificate program at the University of Maryland, College Park. Each team must have two or more members, with at least one of them—preferably the lead member—currently enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (AGNR) or the Department of Entomology in the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences (CMNS).
