ENSP399E - Special Topics: The Role of Evidence-based Environmental Advocacy in Environmental Politics

Do you care about the environment, but feel like you are too inexperienced or too young to make a difference? Consider taking ENSP399E! ENSP399E is a class taught by two undergraduate students who feel passionate about making a difference, but felt similarly powerless and wanted to find a way to help others feel like they could make a difference. The goal of this course is to help students feel more able to affect change by teaching effective tools to become better advocates. Students in this class will hear from several guest speakers, email members of congress, analyze environmental advocacy efforts and read about techniques for effective advocacy from famous environmentalists like Jane Goodall. ENSP399E is a one-credit elective course that meets for one hour per week (Thursdays from 12:30-1:30). If this sounds like a course you or someone you know would be interested in taking, sign up soon! There are limited seats available.
