UMD Solar Canopy Dedication

WHERE: Regents Drive Garage rooftop
More than 7,000 solar panels were installed this summer on the roof of three parking garages at University of Maryland, College Park. The solar power generated from the project will amount to over 2 megawatts of renewable energy, making this one of the largest solar facilities in the Washington, D.C. area. Come learn about Maryland’s clean energy future and get a rare rooftop look at our new rooftop solar canopies. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
