Energy and Environment Internship
Center for American Progress

American Progress is a leader in the shifting debate on climate change and energy by driving research and policy toward a more comprehensive discussion on sustainable economic growth and our collective global future.

American Progress drives research, messaging, and policy to defend progressive polices protecting our air, land, and water to promote sustainable and equitable economic growth.

Interns working with the American Progress Energy and Environment team have the opportunity to complete substantive work across the team’s four main focuses: international climate policy, domestic energy and climate policy, oceans policy, and public lands policy. Within this framework, interns will develop skills and experience to contribute effectively to the national conversation on climate change, clean energy, natural resources management, conservation, and climate adaptation and resilience.

Candidates who apply for an Energy and Environment internship may indicate in their cover letter their interest in one of 4 policy areas.
