Campaign Internship opportunity
Meredith Wellington, County Council District 1

Campaign Internship With Meredith Wellington
The Meredith Wellington for County Council campaign is looking for smart committed interns to help us elect Meredith Wellington to the Montgomery County Council in District 1. Interns will assist the campaign staff in coordinating our voter outreach and fundraising activities. Interns commit to working at least 20 hours per week and must be able to think critically and work independently with minimal supervision. By the end of the internship, interns will have learned the skills to be professional campaign field operatives in their own right. This is a great opportunity for passionate politically engaged young people to not only elect a great candidate and make a difference in your local community but also to develop their own professional skills and gain valuable career experience.

Field: Field Interns will assist our field organizers in the campaign’s voter contact efforts through canvassing and phonebanking. They will help field organizers with office management, volunteer recruitment and training, and staffing field events with the candidate. They will also become proficient with the DNC’s Votebuilder software and learn the mechanics of voter targeting and engagement. Anyone interested in a field internship should contact our deputy campaign manager.
