The deadline for applications is October 1st. Graduate students and Seniors may apply. Applicants from all degree specializations are welcome for this multidisciplinary course. UMD Education Abroad administers the application process (the professor and staff evaluate applications).

Tuition of $2950 covers in-country transportation (flights, vans, boats), lodging, most meals, group events and activities, travel insurance, and administrative costs. Participants are responsible for the course fee, international airfare (est. $600-800), and personal expenses during the trip. Tuition remission applies for GAs – check with your adviser.

Applications are competitive. We typically have a greater number of applicants than are accepted.
