Student Research Assistant Opportunity
Environmental Decision Support Science

I am looking for 3-4 motivated undergraduate or graduate students to join my research lab this semester or next semester, the Environmental Decision Support Science Lab. We’re a multidisciplinary team that conducts research in environmentaldecision support and indicators, focused on how we can improve evidence-based environmental and climate decisions now.

My team is located in the UMD Discovery District, about a half mile from the College Park Metro Station (there is free parking and a 123 UMD Shuttle that goes directly from campus (Regents bus stop) to immediately outside our building). Depending on your background and expertise, you will be able to earn independent study credit and/or be paid hourly.

Students who have worked with our team successfully have landed excellent summer internships and jobs given letters of recommendations and our extensive network within DC and the U.S. I particularly welcome applications from students from underrepresented groups (including but not limited to racial/ethnic minorities, first-generation college students, those who have experienced significant financial hardships, people with disabilities, LGBTQIA+ folks, and military veterans).

Please click the description below for more details about the research opportunity and how to apply.

Thanks,
Dr. Melissa Kenney
