Intern for a Day

Intern for a Day connects undergraduate students with alumni, parents, employers and community partners for one day internship/shadowing experiences. These experiences are offered every fall and spring semester.

This program is PERFECT for those who don't know what area of Environmental Science/Policy they want to get into. A day-long job shadowing experience will give students a "day in the life" of someone who works in an area particular interest... as well as some practical experience to add to their resume!

Here's a sample of previous hosts that have been good matches for ENSP students:
  • University of Maryland Chesapeake Bay Program Office
  • US Army Corps of Engineers, Institute for Water Resources
  • US Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service
  • National Geographic Partners
  • National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)/National Ocean Service-Communications and Education Division
