LAKES Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)

The LAKES REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) program through the University of Wisconsin-Stout is looking to recruit students for the summer!

The topic of the program is interdisciplinary research into sustainable watershed management. Students get a $4000 stipend for the 8-week program and a great research experience.

The program is looking for students with interests in community-based watershed management, rural geography, agriculture, and land use, using mixed methods such as qualitative research and GIS. The research could include interviews w/land managers & conservationists, archival research into the history of land use, or GIS & modeling of erosion risks and sites for potential restoration.
