Very Part-Time Job in Silver Spring Garden
Part-time help is needed caring for an award-winning garden and green roof in Hillandale, a neighborhood a 20 minute drive from campus
Qualifications:
Some familiarity with mid-Atlantic shrubs and trees and some gardening experience.
Reliable transportation or reside close to the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Powder Mill in Silver Spring
Ability to lift 40 pounds
Responsibilities:
Weeding and removal of invasive species is primary responsibility
Additionally and occasionally:
Hours and Compensation:Starting immediately and through late November or early December
3 to 6 hours a week over 1-2 shifts overlapping with hours I am home from my 9 to 5:30 job
$12.00 an hour with eligibility for a raise after one month

- Pond care
- Raking
- Transplanting and re-potting
- Pruning
- Compost maintenance
- Dead-heading flowers
- Humane pest control (with organic deer and rabbit repellent)
- Related duties
