National Public Lands Day

This year, Rock Creek Park has been selected as the signature site for National Public Lands Day (NPLD), the nation’s largest single-day volunteer effort for America’s public lands.

Join Rock Creek Conservancy, the National Environmental Education Foundation, the National Park Service, and national NPLD corporate sponsor Toyota, for a day of stewardship and celebration.

From planting, to trash pick-up, to painting fences, volunteers of all interests and abilities roll up their sleeves to care for our public lands. You're not going to want to miss this event!
When: Saturday, September 28th, 9 am-3 pm. Volunteer events end at 12 pm, but stick around for complimentary lunch, music, and ongoing activities celebrating both NPLD and Rock Creek Park Day, celebrating the park’s designation in 1890!
Where: Rock Creek Park Nature Center (5200 Glover Rd NW, Washington, DC 20015)
