Ecological Design Competition for Baltimore-Based Students

The
Hopkins Ecological Design Initiative is a new interdisciplinary effort at Johns Hopkins University for collaborative research, teaching, and public exploration of ecological alternatives. They are launching an ecological design competition for local college and university students and are are inviting teams of students to develop a response to this year’s annual theme at HEDI, “Food Systems.” The work of five finalist teams will be displayed for one month at Gallery Q on the Homewood campus next spring, and the winning team will receive $2000 as a seed fund to further develop their project.

They will be hosting an incubator event on November 8 to help students form teams and develop their ideas, with a public judging event to take place in early December, stay tuned for more on this.
