Got a Summer Internship? Want ENSP386 credit for it?

If you're completing a SUMMER internship (with ENSP386 credit awarded in the fall), you must submit your Internship Proposal to me FIRST.

Proposals are due to me by June 15, 2020.
(so, you have plenty of time to get your documents together!)

You will not be adding yourself to ENSP386.  I will take care of adding you to the course once I have received (and reviewed) your Internship Proposal.

The process for getting credit (READ CAREFULLY):

Your Internship Proposal will include:
  • Coversheet
  • At least six academic and/or career objectives related to the content of the internship
  • Description of work activities
  • Proposed academic research topic AND seven (7) examples of scholarly source materials for your term paper (including at least 3 peer-reviewed articles). Your research paper topic is of your choosing and should connect the content of your internship with the content of your concentration (and not necessarily what you did during your internship experience).
  • Work commitment (including minimal weekly time commitment and total hours on-site)
  • An updated, 1-page resume
  • Consent & Release Form

Again, once your proposal has been submitted and reviewed, I will add you to ENSP386.

The academic work for ENSP386 will take place throughout the fall semester.  See Item #6 HERE.

If you are having a hard time making the deadline (e.g., interview is pending, next week your internship supervisor is out of town, so you can’t get his/her signature, etc.) – or – if you find out late that you’ve been selected for an internship – please contact me by e-mail in advance. This at least gives me a paper trail, which I’ll need when it comes to adding the internship late.
