Internship - Advocates for Clean & Clear Waterways

Advocates for Clean & Clear Waterways is a 501(c)(3) organization based in Washington, D.C., serving our community in Virginia, Maryland, and the District. Our organization is seeking an unpaid intern to join our team. This position will provide the opportunity to strengthen communication, networking, and allow the Intern to be an advocate for the community. 

Responsibilities and projects include: 
• Grant writing and research 
• Electronic and phone communication 

Requirements/Qualifications: 
• Experience in grant writing 
• Strong interest in protecting the environment and sustainability 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products 
• Able to work well as a member of a team and independently, with a high level of accountability, integrity, and good judgment. 
• High level of professionalism in attitude and communication with staff, members of the public, corporate leaders, and agency officials 

Hours/Pay: This internship is unpaid; however, community service hours and course credit can be arranged. During the internship we require a minimum of 10 hours per week. This is a three-month internship with flexibility for longer or shorter durations.
