MEES489I - Chesapeake Bay Health

The MEES Chesapeake Bay Health class is offered both at the 400 and 600-level and is suitable for senior undergraduates and graduate students and will be offered over zoom. The course is designed to provide students with a broad perspective on the history and current issues concerning the area in which they live; the Chesapeake Bay. The course will focus on issues of environmental science, the sources and impacts of pollutants to the Bay, a history and current perspective on the iconic species that live in the Bay and their importance ecologically and economically and will include guest seminars by the experts in that research area.
