Environmental Activist - Native American Indigenous Heritage Month Keynote

This month is Native American Indigenous Heritage Month. This year the NAIHM keynote speaker at UMD is Winona LaDuke, an environmental advocate and activist.  

This event is hosted jointly by SEE and the Multicultural Involvement and Community Advocacy unit at STAMP with sponsorship from Omicron Delta Kappa. Jazmine Diggs and Dr. Bayley Marquez will moderate the event to discuss environmentalism, Indigenous peoples, and a post-COVID economy, based on the principles, teachings, and innovations of indigenous nations.
