Position: Communications Fellow
Duration: 6 Month Fellowship (26 weeks): Starting April 2021 - October 2021 (dates are dependent upon the start date)
Location: Forest Service Washington Office (currently virtual)
1400 Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC

Fellowship Description:
Provides support for national initiatives in the Heritage Program regarding policy guidance and development through public interpretation, education, and communication. Coordinates with the Office of Communications on developing public-facing program materials. Supports the development of new procedures guiding the inventory and protection of cultural resources across the National Forest system of lands. Assists in developing Heritage Program training curricula and website content. Reviews and edits materials proposed for publication online. Works across other program areas such as Communications, Engineering, Ecosystems Management, Tribal Relations, Recreation, Volunteer Services, Wildlife, Timber, Range, and Fire to collaborate on efforts related to environmental analysis and decision making.
