The Arava Institute for Environmental Studies has partnered with Northeastern University and the Kibbutz Lotan Center for Creative Ecology to bring a 9-week seminar series Re-envisioning the Middle East Eco-System: Desert Ecology and Environmental Diplomacy to students across the world.
On Sundays at 1 PM EST from February 28th through May 9th, experts from the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities will lead interdisciplinary conversations focused on desert ecology, the climate crisis in hyper-arid zones, peacebuilding in Israel, Palestine, and Jordan, and so much more. We will also hear from Arava Institute alumni who have pursued careers rooted in environmental activism in the Middle East and elsewhere.When you register for this free series, you'll be enrolled in all 9 sessions. Participants who join for 7 or more will receive a Certificate of Completion.
