As an Intern in our Washington, D.C. office, you will have the opportunity to apply your engineering (civil, geotechnical, environmental, and water resources), scientist, and/or geologist academic knowledge to real-world situations while also learning the business skills needed for a successful consulting career. We are seeking a full-time (40 hours/week) intern for approximately 13 to 15 weeks during the summer of 2021. Preferred candidates would have the ability to return to the position for up to two additional semester rotations during their undergraduate or graduate studies. Candidates are responsible for coordinating their own transportation to and from the office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Environmental and engineering data input, management, and analysis;
Researching, collecting, organizing, and summarizing environmental litigation documents;
Assisting with engineering/environmental calculations;
Assisting in environmental design, report and proposal preparation;
Field support for contamination assessment, remediation, due diligence, compliance, monitoring, and construction projects;
Conducting and documenting research in support of projects and marketing activities; and
Administrative/general office task support.
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
Currently registered in a civil, environmental, or chemical engineering, environmental science, or geology/hydrogeology Bachelor’s (rising juniors or seniors preferred) or, Master’s degree program. (required)
