Howard EcoWorks is located in Columbia and the sites for work are located all around Howard County. It is a workforce development program for young environmental professionals who want to experience field work and other positions to help guide career goals. Professionals work with native plants, constructing rain gardens and bayscapes, as well as survey invasive species and maintain Department of Public Works Sites around the county.
Here is a link to their employment opportunities. Positions are available for the spring, summer, and fall sessions. (March-June, June-Sept, Sept-Dec). Work is generally 40 hours a week, 8am-4:30pm in the spring and fall, and 7am-3:30pm in the summer.
