Black Climate Week Feb. 21-25

Did you know that Black Climate Week runs from Monday, Feb. 21 to Friday, Feb. 25?

"The Solutions Project created #BlackClimateWeek. Recognized during Black History Month, Black Climate Week honors the innovative climate solutions and environmental justice work that Black folk have been leading for years, while simultaneously calling in philanthropy & the media to do a better job at investing in the communities most impacted by the climate crisis and centering Black voices from the bottom up and the top down."

All week, the Solutions Project will highlight Black-led organizations at varying intersections of this work and share ways you can get involved in your very own communities (& virtually) while also “calling-in” philanthropic foundations and media to increase their support beyond verbiage but in practice.  In its second year, the campaign will celebrate the work of 14 organizations that are spearheading climate justice solutions that are rooted in Black history.
