Internships & Opportunities with Office of Sustainability

 

The Office of Sustainability is excited to announce that applications for our 2023-2024 student internship cohort are now open! We are recruiting for five open positions: Outreach Bike and Events Intern, Green Greeks Intern, Residential Engagement Intern (in partnership with Resident Life), Staff Engagement Intern, and Communications Intern. These are one-year, paid positions for students enrolled in the fall 2023 and spring 2024 semesters. The positions and their descriptions can be found on our website at sustainability.umd.edu/internships. Applications are due by Monday, April 24th, 2023 at 11:59pm.

The Office of Sustainability is also excited to offer two volunteer opportunities with lower time commitments, Sustainability Advisors and SustainableUMD Ambassadors. Sustainability Advisors teach an interactive lesson to first-year students about sustainability and climate change and how each affects students, their studies, and future career prospects. SustainableUMD Outreach Ambassadors conduct outreach to connect students with sustainability resources, programs, and initiatives on campus. They promote sustainable behaviors through the Green Terp program, social media, and peer-to-peer tabling.
