The Climate Change Program is responsible for developing and implementing nation-leading policies to reduce and sequester greenhouse gas emissions to mitigate the impacts of climate change. The Communications Officer ensures that Maryland residents have access to information related to climate change and MDE’s response to these issues. The incumbent in this position creates content, maintains the Climate Change Program’s website, and the website of the Maryland Commission on Climate Change. In addition, the incumbent will also distribute electronic messages, prepare presentations and internal memos, and conduct public outreach to share information regarding climate change.
