Opportunity at Shenandoah National Park for recent/upcoming grads

Great opportunity for upcoming grads or alumni from a variety of educational backgrounds to get training and experience working at Shenandoah National Park. These positions qualify as internships and members receive a variety of benefits upon completion to help with student loans and future career paths.

They are now recruiting for two Education and Interpretation interns to serve in 2024 – the first position starting on February 26th, and the second on April 21st, both running for 28 weeks each. These are full-time 40 hour a week positions based at the park. Members will prepare and present programs for the general public and educational groups including guided walks and hikes, interpretive talks, Junior Ranger programs, curriculum-based education programs, and illustrated evening programs on the Park's interpretive themes (wildlife, geology, ecology, history, climate change). This is a great opportunity to gain solid training and hone your public speaking skills in a beautiful setting! This is one of the only positions they have that has on-site housing.
