What is Agriculture Future of America (AFA)?
- AFA is a non-profit organization that serves to provide college students interested in agriculture, food and natural resources opportunities within these related industries. They bring together students through conferences and institutes to interact with industry professionals, learn about job opportunities, and meet students from all different backgrounds interested in ag and natural resources !
- Policy institute is a specialized conference hosted by AFA every year in Washington D.C. This institute focuses on current topics in Agriculture and Environmental Policy, as well as provides opportunities for students to learn about future careers. In 2024 the institute will be held from September 8-10. Applications are currently open but will close on March 28th!
Will Policy Institute cost me anything?
- No! If you are accepted to Policy Institute, your accommodations for the entire event - including hotels and meals - are covered by AFA! The only cost of the institute will be transportation, however, the hotel locations are generally accessible by metro!
