UMD's School of Languages Literatures and Cultures will be screening We Are Guardians, a documentary on Indigenous and activist efforts to protect the Amazon rainforest. After the screening, there will be a Q&A with directors Chelsea Greene, Rob Grobman, and Edivan Guajajara, an Indigenous Brazilian activist dedicated to environmental causes, who is also participating in the NY Climate Week.
It’s a great opportunity for students to learn from someone directly involved in environmental preservation and environmental justice.
