UMD Students - Participate in the Climate Corps at Korea University, Summer 2025

 

Join students from across the globe to consider Cross-border Collaboration to Address the Climate Crisis at the Climate Corps in Seoul, South Korea this summer. Hosted by Korea University, the Climate Corps is a project based learning experience, providing a collaborative environment to engage with academics and professionals in the field. 

The cost of participating is covered by Korea University and nominated students are only responsible for travel costs (airfare, passport, visa, international insurance) and meals on site.

  • Dates: July 6th -13th, 2025 (8 days) 

  • Activities: Lectures, group projects, seminars, research sharing and site visits

  • Participating Institutions: 30+ universities from six continents

  • Participants: Three undergraduate (junior/senior) or graduate students from each university; leading scholars in climate technology, innovation and policy

Key Deadlines

  • 20th February 2025: Request your nomination from UMD Education Abroad by e-mailing Lauren Ruszczyk, Director at LRUS@umd.edu.

  • 28th February 2025: Submit your nomination form to Korea University (access to this form will be granted by UMD Education Abroad)

  • 6th May 2025: Online orientation (zoom link TBD)

You may be eligible to receive transfer credit to your UMD record upon completion of the program and a detailed review of the academic program.
