The University Libraries, in partnership with UMD Facilities Management, is hosting a hands-on Waste Audit at McKeldin Library—and we need your help!
We'll be sorting a full day’s worth of McKeldin Library’s waste to see what’s being thrown out, how much is generated, and if it’s being properly sorted. The results will help us spot trends and improve recycling, composting, and waste reduction efforts across campus.
Volunteers are welcome to come and go at any time—no need to stay the entire event! Whether you have 20 minutes or an hour, your help makes a difference. All gloves and materials will be provided. Join us to support a cleaner, more sustainable UMD—one piece of waste at a time!
