Fund for the Public Interest is a national non-profit organization that runs campaigns with some of the nation’s most prominent environmental and social change organizations, such as Environment America and PIRG (Public Interest Research Group).

They will be at the UMD Fall Career & Internship Fair on September 30th.


Fund for the Public Interest is a national nonprofit that launched in 1982 to help find ways to engage people on the most pressing environmental and social change problems of our day such as removing microplastics from our environment, protecting our most beautiful outdoor places, and holding polluters accountable for their waste. Our staff help make thousands, even millions of voices heard, by talking to people one-on-one and collecting petition signatures, emails, and small donations, and delivering that grassroots support to legislators.
