New AI Course for Spring: ENST 283 AI for Environmental Good

The course introduces students to using generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, TerpAI) to explore and solve real-world environmental challenges. It emphasizes digital literacy, hands-on learning, collaboration, and ethical reflection—no coding or technical background required.

Students learn how to:

  • Use AI as a study, research, and design assistant

  • Apply AI tools to environmental and sustainability problems

  • Critically evaluate AI’s limitations, ethics, and environmental impacts

  • Communicate ideas through writing, visuals, and presentations

The course is designed to be accessible to any major, particularly students interested in AI, sustainability, design thinking, or applied problem-solving.
