MD DNR Monitoring and Non-Tidal Assessment Seasonal Positions

Maryland DNR is planning to hire five seasonal positions for the Maryland Biological Stream Survey field crews. The posting also includes a benthic lab position, a position with Freshwater Mussel Assessment, and two positions with the Water Quality Monitoring Program.

The Maryland Biological Stream Survey positions are fieldwork-heavy through September and technicians would gain extensive experience in electrofishing and stream habitat assessment techniques while learning fish and herpetofaunal ID and exploring site locations all across the state. After fieldwork concludes, technicians would gain experience using R/ArcGIS as they worked on data analysis and reporting.

This should be a great opportunity for any recent/upcoming graduates who enjoy fieldwork, analysis, learning more about local fauna, and would not mind a summer spent in waders.
