The Green Scholarship in Environmental Science and Policy is now accepting applications through the University's Scholarship Universe platform!
The purpose of the Green Scholarship for Environmental Protection shall be to provide an annual scholarship to a student who:
- is enrolled in the Environmental Science and Policy Program at the University of Maryland
- has expressed their intention to pursue a career in the field of environmental protection
- is preferably a rising senior
Though financial need may be a consideration in the recipient selection process, it shall not be the determining factor.
Students will be considered for a scholarship based on their responses in their application, their class standing, and if needed, their financial aid status. Submitting a scholarship application form does not guarantee that an award will be granted.
Scholarship amount is still being determined; historically, awards have been approximately $1,000-2,000.
Applications are only available through Scholarship Universe. This is a "smart" platform that will continue to review your eligibility and match you for internal or external scholarships based on the profile you build in the system.
