Internship Program Summary: The Council’s paid internship program is designed to support the professional growth and development of motivated students and recent graduates with an interest in climate, energy and/or trade policy. The program will expose interns to what it is like to work in a policy think tank while equipping them with hands-on skills. Interns will support projects across all areas of the Council and its affiliated organizations, ranging from research and policy to communications and public affairs, stakeholder engagement, development, and advocacy.
Responsibilities include:
- Track and monitor legislative developments and media coverage
- Assist with communications/public affairs functions including the development of social media content, event promotions, press lists, etc.
- Support research functions through fact checking, producing internal memos, assisting with blog posts, etc.
- Support advocacy and government relations efforts including research tracking and monitoring meetings as assigned
- Draft briefing memos and analysis in preparation for meetings and events
- Attend and report on events in the policy space
- Assist with special projects as assigned
