Apply for the Emerging Leaders Summit (ELS), focused on Appalachian Trail stewardship and leadership development.
The ELS brings together young adults from across the eastern United States to learn, connect, and build community through shated outdoor experience and stewardship work along the Appalachian Trail.
Who should apply:
We are seeking young adults (age 18-30) who:
- Represent a range of education levels and work/volunteer experience
- Are interested in learning about Appalachian Trail stewardship
- Are passionate about creating a more welcoming and inclusive outdoor space for all
- Have varying levels of outdoor experience (no prior experience required)
- Are interested in building community through shared learning and hands-on experience
- Priority will be given to applicants residing in the eastern United States
This is a unique opportunity to engage with the mission of the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, develop leadership skills, and connect with peers who are passionate about the outdoors.
