GW’s Alliance for a Sustainable Future is launching the second year of a program to send a team of students to northern Sweden during summer 2027 to investigate the challenges and opportunities in Sweden’s green energy transition. The application has just opened.
As part of the program, students will participate in a 3-credit course in research methods at GW (made possible through the consortium) during the spring semester before traveling to Sweden for five weeks in the summer to support ongoing research. They will receive a stipend of $4200 in the summer in addition to fully funded travel (flights, lodging, food, and local transportation).
Students can apply via the NSF’s ETAP website. Applications are due at 11:59pm on October 5, 2026. We will be hosting an online information session before the deadline.
