Temporary field positions - Summer 2020 US Forest Service Location: Prince of Wales Island, SE Alaska, Tongass NF The US Forest Service is already planning for field season hiring for the summer of 2020. Positions anticipated to be needed on Prince of Wales Island in SE Alaska on the Tongass National Forest. Positions will be advertised on usajobs.gov as early as mid-September 2019.
Part-time job opportunity Scenic Rivers Land Trust Who we are: Founded in 1988, Scenic Rivers Land Trust is a private 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to protecting the natural and scenic lands within Anne Arundel County, mainly using permanent conservation easements. So far, Scenic Rivers has acquired 68 conservation easements, covering 3,057 acres. Need: Energetic and independent outdoor lover (that doesn’t mind the office either) to ensure that 100% of our easements are monitored and reports are promptly written after each visit. This includes interacting with landowners and managing trained volunteer stewards and reviewing submitted reports. Must be able to traverse uneven terrain, pay attention to details, and be comfortable learning new technology. Will report to the executive director. Apply today Sustainability Fund Review Committee   The Sustainability Fund Review Committee is now accepting applications! The form can be found here ( https://forms.gle/V7cT6dLDKj4muhmu7 ).  As per the University's Sustainability Council Bylaws, the Sustainability Fund Review Committee is responsible for selecting and recommending projects to be funded by the University Sustainability Fund. Committee members meet weekly October-December and February-March to review project applications and recommend allocation of funds to the Sustainability Council.
