Undergraduate assistants needed Dr. Paul Leisnham’s Lab I am looking for additional undergraduate hourly assistants in my lab during this summer, into the autumn, and possibly beyond. As part of a team, the assistant might help collect mosquitoes from the "field" (west Baltimore), help maintain colonies and experiments in the lab, and conduct surveys of human residents.  Desired :  A motivated self-starter who is interested in getting into ecological/entomological research. REVISIONS - Effective Fall 2016 ENSP - Society and Environmental Issues The curriculum in Society and Environmental Issues has been substantially upgraded, effective Fall 2016.  The new curriculum: Emphasizes knowledge and skills that are central to sociology, while highlighting new courses in environmental sociology. Eliminates sociology courses no longer offered. Broadens students' course selections in the Restricted Elective category. Encourages students to gain practical experience by including ENSP386 and Federal/Global Semester internships. Students who submitted their graduation plans this spring, which will be effective in Fall 2016, will be required to follow the new requirements.   You may access the new requirements here. Students who declared ENSP-SEI in January 2016 or earlier may (but are not required) to follow these new requirements. Internships must be approved  IN ADVANCE . To earn credit for your internship - apply by 6/15   Please follow these steps: Download and read the  Internship Proposal  and  Checklists for Success . Complete/type the cover sheet ==> the three signature lines should appear at the bottom of page 1. Answer the remaining questions on separate pages. E-mail (or hand-carry, if you are on campus) everything to your faculty advisor and site supervisor.   Use “ INTERNSHIP PROPOSAL – (Your Name) ” in your Subject Heading and copy Dr. W. on all messages. Ask your faculty advisor  and  site supervisor to e-mail Dr. W. with the statement:  "I have have read (your name's) internship proposal; and I agree to supervise (your name) and complete an internship evaluation."
