Deadline extended to choose grading method Dear Students, The website for students to record their choice of grading method for each course (pass/fail or letter grade) reopened on May 22 and will close May 31, 2020, at 11:59 pm. Students can make changes as many times during that period as they wish. Students are encouraged to update their grading method early to ensure they have the final grading method that they want. STUDENTS SHOULD NOT WAIT UNTIL MAY 31 TO LOG ON TO TESTUDO. May 31 is the last day a student may verify a grade method change.  To update your grading method: Go to Testudo Select the “UPDATE SPRING 2020 GRADING METHOD” box  Click edit, make changes, click submit. Summer 2020 plans We survived Spring 2020, the semester that will be known across the world as “that” semester.  I’m very proud of all of you for your resilience, flexibility and persistence as we battled through a very unexpected and tumultuous time. This summer may be a bit different than we’re used to.  We will likely be encouraged to continue practicing social distancing, so we may be stuck at home a little longer...  As a result, internships, research opportunities and other experiential learning experiences may be limited (not to mention vacations cancelled!)  We should try to take advantage of this “down time” and shift our actions into something productive.  Personally, having goals or something to work on helps me become more motivated and less anxious.  It also allows me to focus my energy in a more positive way ( away from the news and any negative thoughts surrounding it).  Here are some suggestions for you: Academic Activities Consider taking a summer cours

Virtual Mini-conference Global Perspectives on COVID-19 and Sustainability Transitions On behalf of the Future Earth Knowledge-Action Network on Systems of Sustainable Consumption and Production, we invite you to participate in the Mini-conference on COVID-19 and Sustainability Transitions on May 27, 2020 starting at 9pm Japan, 2pm Amsterdam, 1pm London, 9 am Sao Paolo, 8 am New York, and 5am San Francisco.  This initiative focuses on the COVID-19 pandemic and sustainability transitions, began in late March, and is designed to be dynamic and adaptive. Dropping with a “W” – Spring 2020 Tuesday, May 12, 2020 (11:00pm) is the LAST DAY TO DROP one class or 4 credits with a “W.” (Withdrawal) This means you could drop HEBR 112 (6 credits, but one class) or ENGL 212 and KNES 155N (4 credits, but two classes).
