Winter Term FYI   WINTER TERM: Registration for Winter Term opened on October 22. There's no obligation to register for a winter term course, but if you do, here are some things to be aware of: One day in Winter Term = one week in a typical semester : One course per Winter Term is enough. You only have 15 class sessions – so every day you’ve got reading and homework that you’d normally have a week to do. Manage your time (visiting with family, part-time jobs, and schoolwork) carefully. Online does not mean “easy”. Many winter courses are online. Some online courses require you to be in front of a computer at specified times; others do not; and the balance of online and between-time assignments can vary between classes. Info about online courses are posted here: https://oes.umd.edu/incoming-current-visiting-students/winter-session/winter-session-courses . Please contact course instructors in advance if you have questions. The UMD Directories are here: https://www.umd.edu/dir
