Humpback whale internship in Maui, Hawaii

Th e Ocean Mammal Institute, are a non-profit organization that offers an internship every January teaching field research methods on Humpback whales in Maui, Hawaii. We have offered this course for over 20 years and many of you have provided us with excellent students in the past. Undergraduate Student Research Assistant in Waste to Energy

Undergraduate  Student  Research   Assistant   in Waste to Energy  The Bioenergy and Bioprocessing Technology Laboratory under   th e direction of Dr. Stephanie Lansing in the Department of Environmental Science and Technology is looking to hire a part-time (15-20 hours/week)  Undergraduate   Rese arch   Assistant  for waste to energy  research . The work involves collecting and analyzing food waste, manure, wastewater, and municipal solid waste. Analyzing samples in the laboratory for organic content, energy production potential, and other parameters. The student would also be responsible for inputting data into Excel spreadsheets, washing laboratory glassware, filtering samples, and keeping the laboratory environment clean. The student must be comfortable working with laboratory equipment, food waste/manure samples. Previous lab experience is a plus, but not necessary.  The student must show a demonstrated work ethic, attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and stick to a punctu

Northern Illinois University’s Department of Anthropology is accepting applicants for its Master’s degree program. Dr. Emily McKee invites applicants interested in environmental anthropology, in particular. Through a partnership with NIU’s Institute for the Study of the Environment, Sustainability, and Energy, one graduate teaching assistantship is reserved for an excellent MA candidate with an environmental focus. (Additional assistantships are available for students with other specialties, as well.) The annual Career and Internship Fair, hosted by the University Career Center, provides UMD students and alumni with an opportunity to meet with employers to discuss internship, full-time and part-time employment opportunities.  Employers are looking forward to meeting undergraduate and graduate students! 2023 Summer Internship Opportunity

ICF is currently accepting applications for   Summer 2023 Public Policy Interns . Interns will help process and analyze public comments on a variety of executive rules. The linked job posting describes required skills.   There is also a  Full-Time Policy Researcher  position that is great for those looking for something entry-level..  Insider tip: Interviewers often ask about capstone work since this team functions very similarly! Anyone applying that has completed their capstone should definitely include that on their resume. Managers work with clients to build timelines for deliverables, the team works on individual tasks for the project with some collaboration, then we have a group of 5 or so people all writing the deliverables (usually a report and a powerpoint).
