Naturally Latinos Conference, Jan. 24-28, 2024

The Naturally Latinos Conference is a special networking opportunity that occurs every other year. #NaturallyLatinos is always about learning, growing, and celebrating together. On Jan. 24-28, 2024, we’ll gather under the theme: “Perteneciendo: Nuestras Raíces, Nuestra Tierra (Belonging: Our Roots, Our Earth)."

The 2024 #NaturallyLatinos speakers include:
- Dr. Jessica Hernandez, (Binnizá & Maya Ch'orti') Indigenous scholar and author of Fresh Banana Leaves. Here’s a short video by one of our planning committee members talking about Dr. Hernandez: https://www.facebook.com/GoNatureForward/posts/pfbid0dugYBCXX1V8o5mvF9MB76eqgtJqxQC1WhWy58n1CXZFgwT6tmwUaYHf7eNcHb8H8l
- MasPaz, a Colombian born multidisciplinary artist known for his distinctive street murals that explore topics of earth preservation and indigenous peoples.
- Serenella Linares, the principal park naturalist managing Mount Rainier Nature Center. She established a collaboration with the Mycological Association of Washington DC to bring DNA research experiments to the center. Serenella is Puerto Rican.

We hope students, postdocs, faculty, and campus staff will take advantage of the chance to get their Early-bird tickets: https://hopin.com/events/nlc2024/registration
