Description: Meagan Knowlton, Director of Sustainability at retail tech company Optoro, will give an overview of sustainability in the retail industry and how technology plays a part in sustainability. She will also share her personal experience in careers in corporate social responsibility, where the industry is trending, and what a day-in-the-life looks like.
 
Bio: Meagan is the Director of Sustainability at Optoro, a returns technology company based in Washington, DC. She leads initiatives that enable retailers and brands to build circular business models and reduce waste and emissions in the reverse supply chain. Prior to Optoro, Meagan managed sustainability programs in the Coca-Cola bottling system, where she focused on water, energy, and waste in manufacturing. Meagan holds a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University and a B.S. in Environmental Science from Tulane University.
