Oct. 12: The Pandemic and Other Threats to Indigenous Peoples in the Amazonian Rainforest

On Indigenous People's Day (Monday, October 12 at 6pm), the School of Public Health is hosting a special webinar - The Pandemic and Other Threats to Indigenous Peoples in the Amazonian Rainforest. . Webinar participants will learn about the region and its people, how COVID has changed the way that people are currently living, key challenges going forward, and identify strategies to assist. Speakers include indigenous community members from Bolivia and Peru, a white water kayaker and film-maker, and experts in epidemiology, One Health/Ecohealth, global health, and anthropology.

This webinar will be of interest to students interested in global health, One Health/Ecohealth, environmental justice, and health disparities.
