Participate in the Day to Serve Program at UMD's Arboretum

If you’re looking for a great (and fun), on-campus opportunity to participate in Maryland’s
Day to Serve initiativewe invite you to spend time working alongside UMD’s Arboretum staff in the university’s beautiful gardens.  You don’t need a green thumb to help cultivate our living campus; all you need is an appreciation for nature and the willingness to get your hands a little dirty!
Volunteers can help care for the H. Edward Reiley Garden, next to the Arboretum Outreach Center, 3931 Stadium Drive, on Wednesday, October 14, Wednesday, October 21, and Wednesday, October 28 from 9:30am - 11am.  Additionally, if you and your colleagues want to volunteer as a group, you can schedule a time convenient for your team by contacting the Arboretum Outreach Coordinator.
All activities will take place outside, are limited to 10 people in one area, and involve physical activity, such as weeding and spreading mulch. Volunteers are required to follow the campus’ 4 Maryand COVID-19 safety protocols.
To schedule a volunteer session between now and October 31, or if you have any questions, please email Outreach Coordinator Meg Smolinski at msmolins@umd.edu

UMD Employees: Please discuss with your supervisor the day and time you wish to volunteer before you sign up
