Core Responsibilities: The restoration ecologist will assist in the design, implementation,
management, and monitoring of our mitigation sites.
Specific job responsibilities:
- Develop restoration plans for mitigation sites
- Collect baseline data on potential sites including environmental site assessments,
forest inventories, and wetland delineations
- Oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of mitigation sites
- Perform field work to achieve performance standards on mitigation sites
- Manage contractors and consultants performing restoration work on sites
- Develop monitoring reports at existing mitigation sites
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (background in Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, Forestry,
or Horticulture preferred)
- Ability to travel frequently to mitigation sites
- Understanding of basic ecological restoration techniques
- Native and invasive plant ID
- Strong technical writing skills with attention to detail
Desired Qualifications:
- Engineering, consulting, or similar experience
