The Office of Sustainability is seeking volunteers to assist with the Sustainability booth at Maryland Day. Our deadline to sign up as a volunteer is February 24th and Maryland Day is on Saturday, April 30th. Maryland Day is the University of Maryland’s largest community outreach event, an annual campus-wide outdoor festival featuring a day of learning, fun and discovery. At the Sustainability tent volunteers will help host fun, hand-on upcycling craft activities to raise awareness about sustainability for kids and all ages. Volunteers will also sign up visitors to a Sustainability Pledge, to help people not only learn ways to take action, but to commit to following through on their pledge with tools and resources.
